The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) promotes a school’s commitment to the core values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It helps middle school students develop the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become well-rounded leaders in their schools, communities, and beyond.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for membership, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in 7th or 8th grade
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
  • Have no suspensions or expulsions due to Class II or Class III offenses
  • Exhibit strength in the areas of service, leadership, character, and citizenship
